Within the framework of the “Copernicus dialogues”, a joint initiative between the CNR International Relations Office and the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) Scientific Center in Rome, a workshop entitled “Enhancement of nature-based solutions for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem health” will be held on Friday 12 July in Rome, at the headquarters of PAS in Vicolo Doria 2. The workshop is organised by CNR Institutes (IRET, IRSA, ISB), jointly with the PAS management in Rome. It aims to provide an overview of the current cooperation between Italian and Polish scientists in sustainable use of resources, natural solutions for the decontamination of water and soil, and the production of healthy agricultural products. The initiative also aims to discuss the main topics of common interest, improve mutual networking, and strengthen cooperation to tackle future project initiatives at national and European levels. In particular, ongoing projects will be presented to promote broader initiatives, e.g. joint proposals within Horizon Europe and COST Actions. A part of the workshop will be devoted to a round table discussion of research results from European perspectives and strategic lines of development of Nature-Based Solutions.
Given the limited capacity of the PAS venue in Rome, the workshop can only be enjoyed remotely by connecting without the need to register at https://l.cnr.it/polishitalianworkshop .
