The 7th Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI-2025) builds on prior achievements to position itself as the key venue in the Euro-Mediterranean region for showcasing and debating cutting-edge environmental science research from this region and around the world (see Conference Tracks). EMCEI-25 aims to gather high-quality, original research papers for publication following peer review in the proceedings (indexed in Scopus) and in topical collections (special issues) of the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration and other journals on various multidisciplinary topics linked to the evolution and development of the Euro-Mediterranean environment in the past, present, and future (see Special Issues).
The main objectives of the conference are to support research and innovation, promote the exchange of scientific knowledge, and foster collaboration between Euro-Mediterranean communities and their counterparts around the world. The conference participants will have an opportunity to attend several presentations on new indicators and directions in research, development and innovations in the multidisciplinary fields of the environmental sciences. To this end, several high-profile scientists will participate in this conference. Moreover, a social and cultural program is planned, where, participants can take a little time out to explore the wonders of Reggio Calabria, chief city of Calabria and the oldest city in the region (see Social Program).

THE 7TH EMCEI WILL GO AHEAD IN-PERSON & ONLINE THIS JUNE IN Reggio Calabria, Italy. WE WELCOME PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD!
- Deadline to submit a short abstract (max. 350 words / 1 page): 10 March 2025
- Online registration will open on 15 March 2025 and closes on 31 March 2025, whilst the deadline for payment is 15 April 2025.
- If you have been selected (i.e. short abstract accepted), we will contact you to check whether you want to attend the conference in person and present your work to the audience directly or if you would prefer to make your presentation online.
- You will have until 15 April 2025 (payment deadline) to decide on the type of presentation (in-person or online).
- Deadline to submit (optional, not mandatory) an extended abstract for publication in the proceedings by Springer (indexed in Scopus / SCImago): 30 April 2025.

EMCEI & EURO-MEDITERRANEAN JOURNAL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INTEGRATION
- Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration (published by Springer) was founded by scientists at the University of Sfax in Tunisia in collaboration with scientists from other universities in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Since the journal’s inception in 2016, EMCEI has provided it with the best papers to support its content with the most recent discoveries and research studies.
- A special Issue from EMCEI-25 will also be published in the journal. All presenting authors will be invited to submit to the special issues. See the full list of our partner journals on Publications.
- Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration is indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus. Its Scopus CiteScore is 3.5 (July 2023). Its 2023 Impact Factor is 1.8 (June 2024).
